Stayed for 1 night on our way back to Stockholm. Kiruna is not much but in winter there's plenty to do. From the outside the hotel looks ols and worn out, but that is almost common above the arctic circle, pretty hard weather conditions. I like the environment. Although i have missed all my breakfast since the SJ train schedule has always been the easliest 6:15am to 6:30am for train to Bjorkliden and Narvik. The staffs are helpeful and i like the living space of the room, it is spacious and it gives comfortableness when staying there. I like to stay there again in future.

We were there for just one night and we loved it. The owners are very friendly, and there is a really nice hostel atmosphere. The location is quiet, at walking distance of shops and restaurants, next to the church.

Direct access to Abisko NP, just go up the path behind the lodge and after 10 minutes you are in the middle of nature.
Tip for an easy sight seeing day: take the chairlift up the mountain (2km further) and walk the river canyon afterwards.

Helpful staff. There are no laundrettes in Luleå, but the hotel owner arranged for my clothes to be washed in the hotel's washing machine. The hotel only has a limited number of private parking spaces, but the hotel owner provided me with a tourist parking card so that I could park my car for free just outside the hotel door.

The staff was so accommodating. She gave me information on a variety of
topics, but most importantly, she got me to Råneå where my relatives
came from, by making phone calls on my behalf. They also were happy to
