La Gomera is somehow a magic island and this hotel, located up the hill,
surrounded by plants and flowers, with a lovely view and singing birds,
fits perfectly in this picture. Small, familiar and very friendly, with
cozy clean rooms, confortable beds, nice balcony, is actually more worth
than the price. On top the owner is a very gentle woman, taking good
care of her guests - as the rest of the staff. We stayed only 4 days,

A cosy and nice little hotel in the nice and quiet area of La Calera. The room was big enough, very clean. The little balcony faced the banana plantage and the sea. Very good home made breakfast with delicious fruits and very good sorts of cheese and sausage.The owner Concha is such a wonderful and helpful person, as the whole staff is super friendly.
Loved the breakfast - fresh fruits from the garden and homemade eggs.

Only a few rooms have a view. Some rooms are located right in front of a big wall, so there's no view from the balcony. This should be mentioned in the description of the hotel.
The ubiquitous dreadful foam pillow torture.
No wifi in the room, only on the terasse.
Its a bit outside both area's of nightlife/walking on the coast etc (Valle Gran Rey is split into 2 coastal area's) and the hotel is situated a bit away from both of them.Ideal for the bus station though.
Accessability.
Wifi was barely usable, we was able to connect only on reception and few
other spots. We had no cold water from the tap (though in shower it was
ok, I guess something wrong with the tap). Ants we pretty much
everywhere which was quite bothersome. And why are breakfast are so
praised in feedback? They are very basic but pricey. You can buy all the
same products in the nearby supermarket and have even better and cheaper
breakfasts.
