  This is a stunning hotel in a stunning setting. Surrounded by mountains on three sides with far reaching views across the countryside. The food is always first class and sometimes exceptional; they produced imaginative alternatives for a non meat eater. The service is friendly, responsive and relaxed. We had high expectations of the hotel and they were exceeded in every respect. - Fantastic peaceful location tucked away in the foothills. A great get away from it all holiday destination. Rooms are really lovely. The only comment I would make is that the location wouldn't be suited to those less able to walk due the rustic nature of paths. Fantastic food. Will go back again without doubt.

  Just got back and everything about this place is as good as earlier reviews say it is. I was tempted not to add comments so I could keep this gem to myself. The Hotel Illa d'Or has a magnificent setting, with wonderful views both of sea and mountains; and located in a quiet spot towards the end of the Pine Walk, which makes a lovely short promenade to the centre.   Everything. Friendly staff, spotless hotel, good rooms, excellent views, good services, great location and lovely guests staying at the same time. Definately will return. - I thought the hotel was wonderful. The evening meal was always excellentwith a large choice of fresh food.

  I must say thanks to Rudy and Carlos, the apartment was really really nice, clean and new, situated between playa de ombossa and the port. The staff is really kind, I really suggest to go there. - perfect location, very very clean and very gentile!!!

There was a small error in my booking (got a room without a bath), but was fixed the next day.   Very modern hotel with large rooms and spacey balconies. Absolutely quiet location close to the beaches (150m). Very nice pool area with plenty of sunbeds. Indoor pool and gym also available, but we did not use it. Very good choices at breakfast and also for dinner.
