  A very warm welcome. Coffee on arrival. Room was fresh and clean. Drinks and fruit provided in the morning was a very nice touch. The hotel was in an ideal location and very quiet. - Everything! The owner is absolutely wonderful, great facilities, good location. We felt very comfortable. Were supposed to stay 1 night, ended up staying 3!

  Excellent location in the middle of old town. Short walk to Cathedral and Palace Alcazar. Next to tapas bars. Check Teresa bar opposite for delicious tapas and try local 'tinto de verano' drink which is a mix of wine with lemon. The hostal is located in a very old house so ready for a piece of history. Place is clean and quiet, friendly staff. This place has - The place had loads of character, we loved the quirky shapes and designs of the place and our room was delightful, and there are some lovely public spaces. The location was absolutely brilliant, right in the heart of Santa Cruz and close to the cathedral. It was amazing to get such good value accommodation in this spot. The staff were lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities are basic, but for people on a budget, the Vergara is a cut above.

  I really enjoyed staying here not only for the free sangria but because it was close to the main sights I wanted to see like the Cathedral and Alcázar. I did find it easier to get to the hostel from the stop before the one they tell you but that could just be me!

  I really did enjoy the stay at the hostel. Beautiful area and amazing views. Staff very polite and friendly, just as citizens. Very close to the most needed places, such as: beach, shops, restaurants ect.   What a fantastic view! We chose the apartment for it's location; close to L'Ahambra, Sacromonte and the old town. For the view alone it was worth it. The host, Miguel, is very friendly and helpful. The area is quiet at night once the Flamenco shows finish (they are not so loud to bother you during though). All in all, - Incredible view of the Alhambra, ideal location as it is at the same time very close to the centre, a short walk from the Sacromonte area (cave museum, Flamenco shows) and quite central to the Albaysin quarter (the Moorish quarter). The apartments are decorated with taste and contain some really nice artwork. It is reasonably priced. The owner (Miguel) is very friendly and helpful.

  We stayed in the appartment no 2.Very clean, comfortable, well equipped, friendly staff. We had wifi Internet in the room although normally it's available only in the reception hall. Supermarket just in front of the hotel. Nicely decorated, quality furniture that seemed to be real wood.
