It was very close to all the major Madrid attractions, taxi stand below the hotel, Subway on the square in front of the hotel' department store close. And the staff is great. Breakfast can be found early morning next door to the hotel. Rick Steve was right on with regard to this hotel. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the Plaza de Sol, the "center of the center". The staffs are very friendly and helpful.

No English Language TV, necessity to climb stairs to room, despite an elevator. no breakfast available but there is a cafeteria beside the hotel which we used. The bed in the first room I had was too narrow. I had to change because of the noise from the street while I slept with the window slightly open. I had asked for rooms not on the street side when booking, and this would have been possible straightaway as the hotel was not nearly full. view from the window. No view from room window. - very thin walls, that's why very noisy, when somebody in the near room even sneezes - located near big street, that's why a bit noisy, when the windows are open - no new interior, so you may have problems with opening the door with a key. Bad internet connection. Noisy.
