The staff are extremely friendly, always smiling and willing to help, the rooms were cleaned every day, they made us feel very welcome and clearly made an effort for us to be comfortable. Friendly helpful staff willing to help in anyway possible, good planned night activities including pub crawls and a tasty paella night. Superb location seconds from the metro and the airport train. Very good value and the breakfast included was much appreciated. -

Wonderful stay. Central location in the beautiful and charismatic Gothic quarter, walking distance to Las Ramblas and the beach.Very friendly owners, provided with useful information and map. Also requested flight details so could greet us when we arrived, and provided very useful directions and map from Airport. Also free Wifi. Would highly recommend Mapamundo, thanks for a loverly hostel.

The man at reception was very nice and helpful. It's very good price for individual room. The location is great (a few steps from La Pedrera) and easily could be found. The hostal was ok, nothing luxurious but clean and comfortable. The facility is located on a house and has the reception on the second floor and the rooms on the fifth floor. This was not optimal since one has to ring a bell on the fifth floor to get the main door opened there (the receptionist opens the door from the second floor by watching on a
