  The location is perfect. Cala d'Or is a lovely city, with great restaurants but allows you to travel to the best beaches of the island very easily due its location. Is a few steps away from a lovely sand beach, the staff is very friendly and gives you all the answers you need.   Although the accommodation was fairly basic, it was very clean and reasonably well equipped. The host, Frank was exceptionally helpful and ready to oblige with anything extra which may be required. The pool and grounds of the hotel were well attended to and pre-recession the hotel probably had far more facilities. We would visit Porto Petro again, but in accommodation around the marina. - We really enjoyed being in the town of Puerto Petro; we are not big-city people at all, and it was lovely to be in a small town. Cal d"Or is just minutes away, where you can find many more shops and larger supermarkets. Our apartment was perfect, with a wonderful view of the port. Frank is very helpful and friendly. We would most definitely return!
