As a couple with young kids, it was an absolute dream staying at Manaar House as it was so kid friendly that our kids did not want to go out because of the toys provided in our section of the house! They had so much fun & were so comfortable and as parents, that mattered most to us. The views from the kids rooms were phenomenal & they absolutely loved it!

John and Cathy were fantastic hosts who were always available and offered superb recommendations when our plans were abruptly on hold.
Location is superb, but would advise hiring a car to keep things easy, breakfasts and johns stories are worth the cash alone.
Overall great value, in a great location and we can't wait to return. Jo and I felt at home from the off thanks to John and Cathy.

The owners were very friendly and helpful in telling us about things to see in the area - room was small very clean furnished beautifully and in line with being in the heart of Zulu land. We really enjoyed it totally relaxing lovely pools and braai areas in the courtyard. The breakfast provided was also very nice and set you up for the day I would certainly recomend to friends.

This is a excellent property in every way. We stayed in a room with a private entrance and small terrace overlooking the garden. The welcoming was good despite the fact that I arrived very late past check-in time. The elderly guys(managers) were very hospitable n friendly. The rooms were very clean, felt homely. Breakfast was lovely freshley prepared. I would definitely go back there some time in the near future.

What ever we asked for they helped us with. They were even prepared to make me an early morning breakfast before I rode the Amashova road race on the Sunday the 13th October. I will be back for sure. -
