In an expensive city like OSLO this is the best place to stay. The cleanliness of the hostel was by far the best i have seen. Even better than the 5 star hotels. Clean linen and clean facilities. The breakfast is included which is great and offers a stomach full of food which you would pay an excruciating price anywhere else in Oslo. I spent 8 mon

Great location, is close to everything (train and bus station too). The room (very clean) was a bit small, however the bathroom was big enough. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
The breakfast is good and plentiful. There is a huge hall downstairs where drinking tea and making friends. I recommend this hostel!
Ps: very close to the hostel there's a good restaurant, Nilsen Spiseri, and with the card of the hostal, at the dinner, you have a 10% discount.

Overall we had a good 5-night stay at Gruner. Better than expected.
The girl who received us was really nice, and aswered well to all my questions. We had no problems with CHECK IN, I enable my mobile for international calls so after three times dialing the wrong numbers I finally reached them. Easy. Good LOCATION, not in city center but central.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very good size and the kitchenette was well stocked. The beds were like clouds! It was also very nice to have heated floors in the bathroom. The parking garage was nice because they closed the garage door nightly and you had to go through the lobby to access the garage. I felt safe leaving the rental car in there. I highly recommend this hotel!

Clean, quiet, comfy beds, good wifi. The kitchen utensils are not for rental, you just leave a deposit and they give you the money back. I was in single room apartment several weeks. Whole hostel building is new and clean. Bathroom is nice, with floor heating, kitchenette is useful for preparing quick meals and hot drinks, free WiFi works fine. Staff was nice and friendly.
Don't miss city view from the roof of hostel.
