Of all the places we stayed during our 21 night tour The Aloha Beach Lodge was the very best value for money. Our Studio was absolutely beautiful, with microwave as well as tea/coffee/toast making. Large desk with power point next to it for computer work. Free Wi-Fi. Lovely Bathroom. Breakfast was included in our tariff ($99 NZ) and was very substantial. Because this Motel caters to Bus Tours it has a Guest Kitchen and large Guest Lounge/Dining area opening out to a huge undercover BBQ area. . wszystkie opinie »
Management Justine and Nick were excellent. The hotel is good value for money and very clean. We stayed in basic double room which catered for all our needs and had large bathroom. Continental Brekkie provided downstairs in nice dining area overlooking gardens. Short walk to the beach and 10 min drive to centre of town. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
We had a very nice en-suite room with good facilities. Easy parking and nice set up. We were told new owners are likely to upgrade so is likely to be even better. Helpful staff allowed us to use kitchen facilites for our evening meal as we had been staying YHA/Backpackers.

Justine and Nick (hosts) were accommodating, friendly, and went out of there way to make me and other guest feel welcome. The complimentary breakfast was great. Nothing was too much for them to ensure their guest had an enjoyable stay at their Lodge.
The reception that I got upon arriving was fantastic, friendly I got told that the lights had been put on & a heater turned on for my impending arrival as well as a breakfast tray had been put in my room - Excellent.
Everything, Room facilities and comfort were second to none,location- just over the road from the park and beach, staff could'nt do enough

Free wifi was not limited in time or download amount. Since the hotel had low occupancy, breakfast orders were taken at check-in and brought to the room the night before.
Despite our room being adjacent to the road it was still nice and quiet.

Beach was a 2 minute walk from the lodge, free breakfast, nice rooms, friendly staff. They even made room for us for another night when our ferry got canceled.

Kitchen cupboard doors needed a wipe, no dishcloth, cobwebs attached to the light above the single bed. Light over the tv area didn't work therefore I couldn't sit on the sofa to read had to sit on single bed where the light worked. The heating in the room wasn't efficient for the size of the room (had a little fan heater that was quite noisy, but got cold if you turned it off).

Scaffolding place next door being noisy at 7:30am on the first morning.
The key lock system meant we needed to take he key along when getting something from the car at night or the power went out, however, we see why it may have been needed for the business. Also, no mention was made when we indicated my wife's need for gluten free food. That said, there was yoghurt and fruit on the menu, so it was probably assumed she would eat it. These issues above in our opinion were minor. What we really didn't like was the noisy night store heater.

Poor breakfast for the price. Hot breakfast menu or homemade muffins or bread. All we were offered was a small variety of breads for toasting or booked cereal. Disappointing. We were provided better breakfasts at backpackers for a third of the price.

Bed not made when arrived. Mold on window ledge which i cleaned off. Missing bathmat or towel on certain days. Yogurt and fruit not put out on the Sunday morning which was included in the breakfast. no one around to ask.

The fire alarm whent on Saturday 4pm, but then againg that go to show the safety of the building when it comes to dangers, eg fire, etc, etc.
2 seater in room old and uncomfortable. Not good for 2 people to watch TV. Would be good to have more cord on TV so watch from bed. My wife's back became sore after sleeping on bed. How old are the mattresses?.

- Basic breakfast. Unfortunately, we got not a good impression in the morning. When we came to the dinning area for breakfast we saw tables full of dirty plates and mugs (there was a group of ppl before us). No staff there, no coffee, no clean plates... We had to look for someone from reception to provide us breakfast. Awful coffee.
