the staff were helpful with the fire drill that happened when we were there and the cafe situated at the bottom of hotel was very reasonably priced and nice food. Being a 10 minute walk to the city was excellent but with it looking so tired i would of actually spent a little more to have a nicer presented room. I would see this place as more of a backpackers than a hotel. It wasn't the flashest place, but the location was good, the staff were friendly and the price was good. It's central location. It was close to Vector Arena. It was close to the Vector Areana. The only thing I could mention was the location and its availability to what my needs were as we were there for a concert the hotel was the best thing, awesome location. My biggest criticism is that the hot water would never get hot, but would only get luke warm.Too far from European restaurants when walking. window didnt seal at top so in winter i could imagine it would be freezing. At times staff were abrubt and not very helpful with information on things such as parking around the hotel. no soap or towels in the room on departure...we had to ask for them at the reception and the towels we got were stained. the hotel does need abit of an uplift, for the fact it is calling itself a hotel i would expect something a little more clean and tidy it did look tired! and with paying $100.00 a room i would expect a little carton of complimentry milk rather than a sachet of powder milk. No Milk in fridge, needs doing up really untidy especially the bathroom, no blankets to speak of so was pretty cold. When I was packing up to leave I saw a used condom packet under the cupboard unit behind the door. Gross. It ws very dirty when we arrived an empty bottle of wine on floor by bed and in fridge, bathroom was ditry with long black hairs in hand basin, was very run down room. A positive tho was it being so close to the Vector. Although I stayed only one night the hotel needs TLC, the cleanness of the room was fair and things need to be updated. The noise is a worry if you are on the main road side but other than that it served its purpose. I was mortified at the state of my room. For what I paid for the night Ididn't expect an experience similiar to that of a backpackers. Thebathroom was vulgar and I could hear the people in the room next doorlike they were in my room. The whole place had a gross feel about it.
