  I had a great time at Riad d'Or. It was exactly the type of accommodation I was looking for: one representing the legendary Moroccan hospitality. This means for me good food, laid-back atmosphere, water presence, beautiful Arab decoration, smiling ladies and attentive gentlemen. They would go up from the reception till the roof - Tthe “Superior Quadruple Room” (the Pacha room if you are looking at the riad’s website) easily accommodated two married couples (one double bed and two twin beds that the staff had pushed together) in somewhat separated/private areas. The room also had a comfortable couch on which a short person or child could sleep. The common areas of this riad are among the most intricately, ornately, and opulently decorated (in a good way) of any in which I have stayed. Lots of hot water. Staff was friendl

  Beautifully restored and decorated riad with a very friendly and helpful housekeeper. Note that the housekeeper has very limited English, but my high school French was sufficient to communicate easily with her. - It's located in the Medina, but not on the busy part of it.   The location was excellent , just behind the square. With a lovely terrace with the square view. We arrived with a rented car, there was a near by public parking ( about 200 mt away ) The medinas are rather complicated, twistednarrow streets , so it can be difficult to find your way and get lost easily. We wanted to leave early to avaoid the city traffic and she was up too to prepare us - The Hotel is beautiful, clean, the bedroom and bathroom are big enough for two people. It is not easy to find, but if you call to the Riad when you arrive someone will be waiting from you in the principal street. The location is perfect, inside of the medina and you can walk to all of the principal attractions in Meknes. Meknes is beautiful, and less touristic than Fes, so that also implies that nobody will be bordering every each meter as in Fes.

  We were blindsighted by the wonderfull reception and experience we have had in Meknes and at Riad Amazigh! Amazigh was, up to now (only one more hotel to stay - in Rabat), the very best place we have stayed in Morocco. At Amazhig, nonetheless, we were received with genuine and honest kindness. Hassan, the manager, was amazin - Unfortunately I stayed at Riad Amazigh just for one night. I met the owner Fatima which has welcomed me with a lovely dinner (the olives and lemon chicken tajin was amazing). The room was big, clean. Did not have the chance to use all the hotel facilities. The breakfast was abundant. The quality of the service is higher than other riads I have been during my holiday in Morocco and the price is fair compared with the overall quality of the experience. Yves the owner provided fantastic service and was a tremendous host throughout. It is within easy reach of Fes, Volubilis and Ifrane, and allows great day trips. Highly recommended! - A gorgeous riad, which resembles a palace (and indeed it once belonged to a member of the royal family), well kept by a French university professor, a smart old man filled with humour. The Riad has a beautiful furniture, a lovely garden, and the keeper provides guests with a lavish breackfast. One of the highlights of our staying in Morocco.
