Double rooms on one side of the building have windows that face a concrete wall, there is space (2/3 meter) between the window and the concrete and you get some sunlight, but the air con of the hotel is in that between space so you hear a buzz...   location is very good,very handy to shops and restaurants.The front and back of the hotel have no traffic access, so nice and quiet, malls and plazas all round. Right on the waterfront,nice views.   We arrived just after having stayed in the jungle at Sepilok (which was after days of diving and a long bus journey), so we really needed somewhere clean and comfortable. The Sheraton Sandakan far exceeded my expectations on both fronts. It was extremely good value for money. Location was convenient - it took us less than an hour - The staff at this hotel, did much more than expected. I had a birthday cake delivered to my room a very pleasant surprise. The best service we have ever had from all staff, in any place we stayed in Malaysia for 4 weeks, could not fault service, type of room & cleanliness.
