The owners are half finished the up grading of the of the facility however we found it to be wonderful. When one arrives at the entrance one may wonder what you have booked however when you arrive at the door the staff are there to greet you take your bags and get you to your room Then you enter a large courtyard with rooms on three sides and a pool. The courtyard was large with lots of lounge chairs. The breakfast in the morning was great and they had a number of choices. The staff was friendl.
wszystkie opinie » Having spent 20 years in the international oil & gas industry, I have stayed at 5-star hotels so much, I avoid them now. That being said, the friendliness of staff, the service, and attention to detail at Vientiane Garden Hotel is 5-star. This is a small business doing all the right things. The rooms are new with contemporary decor, it is quiet, the open area is full of trees and the grounds are constantly maintained and cleaned. It is an 8-10 min. walk to the day market and shopping areas,. Friendly, helpful staff who had reasonable English. They readily arranged a tuk-tuk driver, including destination and price, to where-ever we wanted. The swimming pool was great in the heat of the day (June) or evening. Our room's balcony was superbly sited to overlook the pool and all the action. The room was spacious and the en suite's shower arrangement very clever. Breakfast OK. I had a very pleasant experience with the staff, especially the owner. I'll visit his other property in Hanoi when I head that way. There was a problem with the lock on the door of my room. The lock was immediately replaced and the maintenance was done very well The pool! I love the pool and the deck around. Great, great hotel! The rooms are large and spotless, the bathroom was the best that I saw in Laos, there's even a swimming pool there. Staff is excellent, attentive and incredibly helpful. I had only one breakfast there, but it was also pretty good. Highly recommended. Located in an ideal place close to the centre. Facilities are great, Staff couldnt do enough to help, if anything they were a little over attentive, but understandable as it is a new hotel. The people from the backpacker hostel paid for use of the pool and it was therefore quite busy and noisy at times. The staff wasn't that accommodating, the wifi is barely functional (you may have to leave your room), and it's not really worth the money. Smell from the bathroom, very bad draining, after taking a shower, the whole bathroom floor is wet. Overcharging on costs for trip to Bangkok via the train. Paper thin walls, noise from other guests was distrubing. Every door in the entire hotel creaked and was audible in the room. Shower drain was a hole in the wall that let the smell back in. restaurant attendant (waiter) was very average as was the breakfast..
