  Rokyan Fuji is a little slice of heaven just outside of the main Tokyo center. The Ryokan is run by a lovely couple who made us feel at home from the moment we walked in. They have good English and will help you whenever they can. We had the western and Japanese breakfast there which was a great experience.   We had a perfectly adequate western room with the usual/necessary functions, but be warned - it was a typical Japanese size, i.e. small and cramped. You couldn't fit in more than 2 normal sized suitcases and even that would be pushing it (we had 1 and a couple of smaller hand baggage bags). Also it was very conven - I really liked the location - it's very close to the park and the subway station. Particularly coming from Narita, the access is quite convenient and they have very good instructions on how to find the hotel. I'd say the rooms were a good value. Yes, they are small - but that's pretty standard for Tokyo or any large city.
