The view from the our unit and rooftop deck was amazing - 360 degree view of the town, beach and hillsides. The sound of the waves on the beach below was great at night, and the train is far enough away not to be a problem. There are 2 sets of units under Elisabetta - we stayed in the ones higher-up on the south side of the main street.

The location is AMAZING! We went to bed and awoke with the sounds the waves. The sunrise was to die for. We had a very delayed train ride (common in Italy) and were surpised by two things. 1. After calling Elisabetta, the keys were in our door with an nice post it saying our names. It was a great touch at 1am. 2.The place was very easy to find even for the directionaly challenged.

Locanda Valeria is in an indescribably beautiful location. You can see
the ocean, some of the Cinque Terre towns, and the mountains all from
the house. We loved it. The hike down to Vernazza is about 45 minutes
and you can drive into Corniglia fairly easily in 5-10 minutes. They
were so kind to us and our children. My son left is iPhone there and
they are mailing it back to the States for us. We loved it and would not
stay anywhere else when visiting the Cinque Terre. Thanks!

Owners were very helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and new. It is right next to the Pirate Cafe, which is adorable! The Cannoli brothers, twins who run the cafe, have wonderful pastries and food, and they are very entertaining. We liked that it wasn't right in the middle of everything. Turn uphill instead of down to the harbor and look for the Pirate Cafe sign, walk along for a short way, and the La Perla Delle is on the right just before the Pirate Cafe. Rina was really nice! the room is cozy and the location is fantastic! the bed is comfortable. For the breakfast, you get yogurts, jams, melba toasts, coffee that you make yourself in the machine, and lots of milk (so you can use the milk foamer and make yourself a latte) and iced tea - it is really perfect if you go to the market and get a few fresh fruits and some cheese to supplement it! very clean. decent washroom with a good shower.

Excellent place to stay in Vernazza and Cinque Terre in general. Some
people may get scared off by the location on the map looking like it a
ways up the village - don'T. The village is tiny and it is perfectly
situated 2 minutes walking from the train station. At night, it is a bit
quieter and nice to retreat to. Also, the building we were told has the
only elevator in Vernazza - great for your luggage. Room was clean,
comfortable and all you really need. Vernazza itself is very central,
