They carried our bags up the stairs (yes, stairs, no elevator), but what do you expect for a smaller and quiet little nest out in the heart of Venice. Wifi is free and its fast!!! Windows opened to the coblestone streets below which allowed for a fun view. They sent me a personal email before I arrived to assure I took the right water taxi and knew exactly how to get there. Loved, loved, loved this place. Perfect for a couple.

  I chose Alloggi Marinella principally for its convenient location near Piazza Roma and the railway station, but the Rialto and San Marco are only an interesting 20 minute walk away, and the ferries stop nearby. I stayed in both and both had their charms and both were very comfortable. Perhaps stay in the main building i - Excellent location if you are on a cruise or need to be near rail or road transport. It's also close to one of the major water bus terminals. Quiet street with shuttered windows. Room was small but clean with adequate storage. Free WiFi available in the lobby/breakfast area, but I managed to get it in the room as it was directly above this area. Staff a very helpful with suggestions and directions.
