  Very nice stay. Great breakfast, most of it home made and fresh. Owner is very friendly, caring, educated and hospitable. No problem getting there. Just use the coordinates you receive from Balarte or the 'location on the map'-feature in your TomTom. letsbookhotel.comsite gives you the exact location. Also Balarte signs on roads close by. Ispica is interesting for the cava d'Isp - Very eclectic and modern design, the room was very comfortable with lots of storage space and high end shower and bath soaps. The location is rural and very peaceful, the grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was a delicious mix of local dishes and fresh fruit. The lady in charge was very graceful and helpful. I would describe the Balarte as the Gugenheim in the middle on the Scicilian countryside !

  We were upgraded to a different residence - we had booked the San Domenico Residence but we slept in Badia Nuova Residence. The room was perfect for a couple with cooking possibilites. The location of Badia Nuova Residence is perfect: Very close to the old city center and only a 15 minute walk from the train station. - I stayed in this hotel with my husband and daughter we really enjoyed ourself - location was perfect.. Close to bars and restaurants and beach, we rented a car which made it all worth while!!! We will be back....

  The staff were extremely friendly. They were helpful in giving usinformation and directions for visiting Mr Etna and also suggested wevisit a local festival.   Excellent!!! The host was young, nice and friendly, he really did care about us and our staying there. The rooms very clean and jolly, nice decorated and our apartment included a nice kitchen where we chose to have breakfast self cooked to enjoy it together. A little bit far from the city but cosy and relaxing. The owner was really nice and helped us print our airline ticket in his house. There is a nice area for BBQ out the back, and a little retreat with hammocks. We would recommend this for a group of people to stay as the on-site bar/restaurant is a good place to chill. very comfortable altogether!

This was quite a find, and perhaps 2 kilometers from the ruins at Agrigento.   We were upgraded to a suite for the room price, the chef cooked to order for us on two occasions, the meals were delightful. The staff were very friendly and helpful - The Spa like attitude of the hoteland the way it was set up.The resturant was excellant.

  The location of the Hotel was great - just 15min walk to Ibla and in the center of all other attractions of Ragusa, opposite to the cathedral. The Hotel it self is in one of the old palaces. The hotel was a antique house of upscale family from old times turned into a hotel. It is very charming and you can walk around the hotel and imagine how life used to be in the past in that house.
