We called up to the hotel and they asked whether we wanted to cancel our booking. They also said that despite flood the hotel had no problems and they were looking forward to their guests to arrive. We decided go and stay their. No we do not regret about this decision and can recommend the hotel to everybody

  Luxury hotel for a reasonable price. Extra services are expensive though. Nice location by canal and very quiet, but close to Vaporetto. - It was absolutely amasing

  Charming, friendly and extremely helpful staff. A minor quibble: no waste paper basket(s) in the big gorgeous beamed room--a free upgrade from that requested. Unique design of room #401 (with stairs up and down to bathroom which was a shower only(but beautifully equipped) made it a little awkward to navigate. The bathroom was a bit small but very clean. The walk to the main areas of the city was about 10-15mins and very pleasant. From the hotel it is only a 4 minute walk to the Fondamente Nuova to get boats to Murano and Burrano. 3 mins from a main shopping area with cafe's etc.Staff were excellent.

They were very kind and attentive to us. The breakfast each morning was delicious and had hot and cold foods, as well as fresh fruit. Our room (#122) was gorgeous - we had a balcony right on the grand canal and only paid 210 Euros a night! It was the perfect place to spend our anniversary. We highly recommend the Principe.

  First impressions were excellent. The hotel was easy to find. It was extremely clean and our room was more than adequate. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. Breakfast was great and the coffee was the best I tasted during my whole stay in Venice.
