Excellent location, very very clean, friendly and helpful staff. The bed was really comfy and the blanket was huge. Did I mention the location was excellent? Because the location was excellent. And the food at the Mexican cafe beneath was delicious. Note: I was staying on the Westmoreland St side, the other rooms may be different. Really friendly staff! The rooms were larger than I expected and clean. Beds very comfortable. You can't beat this location - it's right in the middle of everything. A bit difficult to find the check in - the entrance is actually on Abbeygate st, but you check in at La Salsa Restaurant (also owned by the guesthouse owners).

Very central, although if you have a car you have to either pay €18/day across the road or €4/day about a 10 min walk away. Both of these kick off at 08:30am. Tip- at the one across the road, put the money in after 6:30pm and it will extend into theorminf so you can sleep in. - Staff very warm, helpful and friendly. - Big spacious room with nice bathroom and good shower with excellent water pressure. - Terrific location for people visiting Galway city centre. Ideal if you need a place to stay if you are going out in Galway. I lived the style of the room it was warm and comfortable beds were lovely and it's in a great location 2mins from eyre square. The lady who let us in was so nice and welcoming. There's a restaurant down stairs also. B&B is located very close to the main shopping centers of Galway. Bed was very comfortable! Slept like a baby. Clean and quiet. Parking located across the street for a small fee (free on sundays). I loved this little guesthouse. Location was excellent, right in the centre of the city. Although this guest house was not massively cheap ( i.e. we paid 207 Euros for 3 nites) but the room was lovely, spacious and comfortable. We even had our own bathroom (NB: no hair drier). Stuff was friendly. the bed was very comfortable, the room was quite big, the location was central and there wasn't any noise from the street. The guesthouse is really in the centre, ideal to visit the city! The room was fine, bathroom basical but functional. I loved the location, just behind the corner to Eyer Square, liked the bedding and towels provided. Great location a very short distance from central town with lots of restaurants and shops. The facility is very clean and staff is kind. Keeping in mind that I would recommend staying there 100%, light- sleepers may have difficulty as the room stayed quite bright (curtains are not as thick as they could be) and the area can get quite noisy outside. It was fine on a Tuesday night but I imagine on a weekend it may be worse. The room was on the small side so a big suitcase would make things hard (but not impossible). My only issue was that parking was a bit tricky. The lot across the street can charge up to 20 euro per day with hourly charges. We ended parking at the pubic lot by the Cathedral, which was about a 5 minute walk away. That lot was much cheaper (4 Euro per day), but we had to make sure to pay for it by 8:30am each day. Overall, not too tricky if you don't mind walking a bit and being organized. No complaints. The old side had a bit if a smell to it. The photos are not a proper reflection of the rooms. This is budget, closer to 2 * than 3*. It is also quite noisy. Breaking glasses from nightclubs/pubs and to top it all off, we had the street cleaners wake us up at 05:30am with a chainsaw style blower. - No defined reception area. Hard to know if I was at the right place when I arrived. Also, when leaving, wasnt sure where to return the key. - Noisy during night, dont know if that was other guests or neighbours but people were fighting & shouting the night I was there - No parking; there is parking across the road but that is based on a daily car park ticket so I had to wake up before 830am to ensure my car was ok to be parked there. Only prob I had was this banging that wen on all nite I taut it was d fan in the bathroom but even wen it was off still there was a loud banging in the morning we realised we were beside the hot press maybe it was the tank. It needs some work I tink. No complaints :). No breakfast facilities but you are in the centre of the city with plenty of places to eat. Some street noise but you are in the centre of a city so it's to be expected!!. Lots of parking space next to the guesthouse, but be careful with parking: you have to pay 2 euros after 8.30am. Nothing that I didn't really like. Besides staying one day and travelling with only backpacks, I wouldn't recommend for heavy traveller or travelling with family. Room was vey small but fine for what we required. No facilities to make a coffee. The shower had almost no power with only a dribble of water from it.... Took ages to shower! Had to rinse my hair in the sink..... The walls were thin and there was a lot of noise outside and around the building. We played white noise which helped mask out some of that noise but it was very present when there was complete silence in the room. There was a few minor things which could be improved like the loud noise coming from hot press. Also there was no blind on skylight meaning bright light was shining in morning. The bathroom was very small and the shower not the best but we were happy to have an ensuite. By car dificult to find. no parking facility. parking rates next door expensive if staying for a couple of days. no breakfast. We stayed here on a Saturday night and there was a lot of noise from a bar across the road, leading to a very poor night sleep. Disappointing that breakfast is not included/there are no facilities to make breakfast. It would be great if breakfast was included in the stay. No breakfast. Sometimes annoying sound of water pumping at night. was quite noisy at nite. noise from the street and from a water heater on the landing outside our door. bathroom also needed to be repainted as lot of damp on walls and ceilings. a bit small , bathroom floor could be repaired and room up 2 flights of stairs no parking. Loud noise (possibly hot water cylinder) in our cupboard in the room, not just making noise when we were using it so it woke us up. Other than that we loved it. An empty bottle of brandy was under the bedside table when we arrived. They didn't bother to clean the room on the last day that we were there. We had to make our own bed, and we didn't get clean towels. Better info about the parking beforehand and when it is free from and till would be helpful for people driving to it. Bathroom quite small, no bath. Only down side to this place is the absence of breakfast considering the price we paid and although they did provide free Wifi, the connection from our room was very poor. Otherwise we had a splendid stay in Galway. Room was small without proper closet. Bathroom missing some amenities like cabinets, towel holders, something to put your vanity case. They forgot to clean our room and empty a trash for three days. Walls are thin so you can hear a noise from neighbor room. the room was very dark (the sunlight didn't get in from the window because the window was facing a wall), there was mildew in the bathroom, the water heater (which was in my room) made lots of noise when people were taking a shower. There isn't any reception, the personal is the one working in the restaurant just below the guesthouse so you have to check in in the restaurant opening hours and if you need anything out of that time you cannot have any help from the personal. We did not get any information on arrival at all. The lady from mexican buffet gave us keys and that was it. There was a free wi-fi but we did not get password, we were not told when to leave rooms and where to leave the keys as on sunday the buffet was closed...the number on reservation was not working...There was no option for breakfast as stated in other reviews. Room was very cold. nowhere to hang wet coats. The bathroom is too small and the shower is not warm enough. The cleanliness was really poor, the floor was dirty. no staff. no breakfast service. A little noisy because near the accomodation, there is a rock cafe.
