This was a fabulous place to stay and I highly recommend it! From the
moment we arrived, this property exceeded our expectations - beginning
with the manager's suggestion to our cab driver to take the ferry
over from the airport in order to avoid heavy traffic at the time we
arrived. The property itself has such character & is located on a
quiet street with historic sites right next door. The room was spacious,
quiet, cool (ac), clean and decorated with beautiful wood pieces of

We liked the location as it is a little more peaceful than other areas and a short walking distance to the centre of Fort Kochi. The Restaurant Oceanos is certainly one of the best in Fort Kochi. ( A sister restaurant, Fusion Bay, was recommended and we went there and it was equally good) We were upgraded and the room was very comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. We explored other hotels while there, but would probably go back to the Elphinstone.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice room and garden and close to the beach which was clean . The restaurant next door Oceanos was amazing - we ate there every night. Breakfast was huge and good. they are about to open a coffee bar next door. They helped us to find a lovely driver for our travels in Kochi.
Staff particularly Amil & Annie who looked after us really well. Friendly parrot in garden. Excellent food & service at breakfast. Twice during our stay they provided early breakfast so we could go on trips which had early starts. Always had hot water in the shower.
Zenil and the young receptionist were always helpful and smiley. I had a
train ticket from them but I will advise you to go directly to book it
at the station.This is a quiet, clean and nice place to be in Kochi. The
restaurant has great dishes.
Staff were very welcoming & helpful, booking tours etc. Great location, walking distance to Fort Cochin sites but just far enough away from the general hustle & bustle.

It was clean and moderately priced with basic facilities. Located near a beach........a taxi is needed to get to the city centre. I would recommend it for essential comfort and good value.

I stayed one more night to get a train ticket but it was not the train
and class I was expected. Wifi was not efficient in the room.

Surprisingly, tea could not be served as room service was closed as early as 21:30.
my room had a very high level of humidity, thus for me spendind the night inside brought to me headache and sorethroathad as consequences.
The bungalow was expensive, dark and dingy, no sheets, mosquito infested, filthy garden, generator next to room constantly in use. nowhere to put any thing. Bed hard as nails.
