  This apartment is perfectly placed at the end of the main shopping street in Reykjavik, however we were not troubled by noise at all. It is very clean and modern and with everything you could need for a city break (fully stocked kitchen, washing machine with drier & comfy living area) The apartment is beautifully decorated. The apartment was very spacious for a group of three friends and it was tastefully decorated. We had more than the facilities that we needed as our homebase in Iceland. We were happy to find a washing machine in our apartment. The location is very good because it's at the street towards the main commercial area of Laugavegur. Parking was also available but on a first come first served basis. It made our trip to Iceland comfortable.

  The apartments were spacious by European standards and they were ideally located near City Center. They were cleaned daily and everything worked reasonably well. The internet connection was a bit shaky at times and was a dsl line. The tv was likewise weird, having at times 150 channels, then 6! All British satellite coverage. We were making a first visit to the University. Innkeeper Thorri was very helpful and kind. As we walked around Reykjavik, we never saw a better value for this level of amenities and character. We love staying in historic and cultured homes like Gastafell. The 1 bedroom apartment was fully equipped and in a wonderful quiet location but literally minutes from everything. Breakfast was excellent.

The location is perfect - in a quiet residential street yet only a 5 minute walk from cafés, bars and restaurants in the town centre!   Comfortable bed.. - Well situated within a 10 minute walk of the main shopping/drinking/eating district of the city. There is also a store 2 minutes from the hotel if you're ever in need of junk food, a dvd or some drinks to take back to your room. Staff are plesent and helpful.
