EVERYTHING!! We stayed in the Belafonte Loft with our 16 month old son while in Athens and it was just perfect. The location is tough to beat. It is right in Plaka and only about a 5-10 minute walk to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. Getting there and leaving is also a breeze since it is less than a 10 minute walk from the Acropoli and Syntagma Metro stations.

We stayed in the Loft Suite and absolutely loved it! John is a good host, very helpful and easy going! The view from the Loft Suite terrace (with hammock) is amazing; you can see the Akropolis from your chair! The house has a great design, is very clean and beds are comfortable; we felt at home immediately. In the small kitchen coffee, tea and jams are provided. Alice Inn is just a few steps from the Plaka and plateia Syntagma (metro). So; great location, great rooms, beautiful city!.
I stayed in the basement apartment Betty Boo. It has a very comfortable king size bed, with memory foam pillow. Very clean. I loved the cute style John has decorated the room. It was my favorite accommodation on my 5 week holiday in 4 countries. Location is perfect for shopping, restaurants, site seeing and all walking distance in this amazing city. I even had my own side entrance which was very convenient.
John is one of the nicest hosts my friend and I have ever come across. The location is fantastic and everything is only walking distance away. The Alice Inn Athens is a home from home. I can highly recommend it if you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere and a break from 5 star hotels.
I loved the location of the hotel, also my room "Betty" was very secure for single female traveller and great privacy. John was super helpful and it didn't feel like I was staying in someone's house. Potential to be brilliant boutique accommodation.

Only tiny picky things! There needs to be a sign to recognise the hotel from the street as it's just a house number and in the dark its a bit tricky.
A few really lovely soft pillows would be nice for the bed but thats it really. Great stay!.
The bed is terrible. Cannot move on bed because it is noisy. Mosquito...God...Cannot sleep well in night.
