  Walked and enjoyed the residentail character of buildings from 1900's, followed the recommendation of my host to one of 6-7 restaurants within 150 m walk.   Nice location in Bockenheim, right next to Theodor-Adorno-Platz. Extraordinarily helpful staff. Got a double room for a reasonable price through letsbookhotel.com. New hotel, but seems promising.
