Excellent location, very close to train station and many restaurants...just a few steps to the lovely lake area. It's close to shopping and sights, too, and if you're not too burdened with luggage, you can walk from the cruise center (we did, with 50-pound bags). Excellent location right in the centre. A few minutes walk from the central station. Really good breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, delicious rolls, scrambled egg, etc. Coffee brilliant.

Good customer service, very friendly most of the time. The hotel is located within the city centre where most transport such as bus, taxi and train can be easily accessed. It is also surrounded with a lot of restaurants and pubs. - Very kind and helpful staff; when we had trouble with paying with my VISA they figured out how to do so.

This is an older German gasthäus so it is what it is. However, you would
be hard put to find a modern hotel as clean as this place. It was
spotless. My room, #21, was very quiet and comfortable. I also felt very
safe in the area. There is a smell that is apparent when the room is
shut up for a while, but again, not because of lack of cleanliness.

I've stayed here numerous times, love the central location near the main train station and the happening street nearby with cafes, bars and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. Never tried the breakfast as I usually go to one of the nearby cafes or bakeries due to sleeping in. It's always my first choice to stay here. Free wifi. Some rooms have no bathroom, so you need to make sure what you're after...

I loved staying at the hostel! It was very modern and very clean. The
staff were so friendly! My room was with 6 other girls and very modern
too. Nice bunk beds and with privacy screens. Chargers for cell phones
and computers. You don't need adapters if you can charge with a
usb cable. Each bed has their own charging station along with light.

Lovely a quiet whilst sleeping - a big surprise considering location - no noise from outside or other people staying in the hostel.
Brilliant location - right next to the Hauptbahnhof, two art galleries/museums, lots of places to eat and easy walking distance to attractions such as Rathaus, Jungfernstieg, Alsterwasser usw.
