Beautiful hotel right in the centre of the city. The staff were very helpful (I rushed in from the car after a long drive and needed to use the WC before even checking in and they were very helpful!). The room was beautiful, modern, big and airy. Valet parking also very efficient and stress-free. Also reasonable prices in the mini-bar. -

It is directly across from the famous restaurant Auerbach's Keller where Goethe sets the scene in which Faust sells his soul to the devil. Great meal and wonderful paintings. The hotel is minutes from the famous Thomaskirche where Bach served as music director.

The hotel was in exactly the right spot for us - opposite the Thomaskirche, next door to the Bach Museum, the Gewandhaus 5 minutes away. St Nicholas Church down the road. We were very impressed with the hotel staff. They were very kind, courteous and helpful. They did everything they could to make our brief stay enjoyable. We had a kitchenette room and it was very clean, comfortable and it was in a good location too. We would definitely recommend this hotel. -

This is a basic hostel for students and backpackers. It is not a hotel. It is clean, secure, centrally located and excellent value for money, but it is not a hotel: there are no carpets on the floor, no furniture to speak of etc. -
