Great location for the castles, shops and restaurants. We would go back and spend a longer time to explore the area. Even if this hotel was about 5 KM from downtown Fussen it was really easy to get there and certainly worthed. Great location and very quiet. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Great hotel in a beautiful location, overlooking the lake! The room was lovely - beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Kitchenette in the apartment which was a bonus, including dishwasher. You get a "Fussen Card" during your stay, which gives you free public transport and a discount on your castle tickets. The hotel is easy to get to, a 5-10 min drive or 15min bus ride from Fussen. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel (Strandbad Hopfensee) where you can get bus 56 which comes eve

This is a "designer" hotel and every turn had surprises. Memory foam beds - so comfy. Chalet-looking balconies overlooking a castle on the hill. Great showers. Good breakfast. Fast internet. Our 2 rooms (one couple per room) each had room for a small family. Ours had a larger-than-usual queen bed, a single and a bunk built into the elaborate headboard. Onsite parking is in the back of the hotel. Our family room was large, very comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the town square and the mountains. The hotel has a bakery as a storefront and an excellent restaurant. Breakfast was very generous and excellent.
