local to train station, so was able to make the 40 min trip into Bonn very easily. Great little pub just 2 mins walk into the town. If the weather had been better, Im sure the location of Bad Honningen would have ben a lot more appealing.

Highly recommended - we loved Vater Rhine for all the best reasons. and what a superb outlook over the Rhine. Pleasure craft/cruisers and working barges passing in either direction. Very large room, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfasts in cosy surroundings. We would have loved to have stayed longer on our return journey from Bavaria. Will visit

The lady that runs it is very nice, and works very hard at providing a clean room and good breakfast. This hotel is right on the Rhein River, and my room looked out right onto the river, great view! The area is charming with a prominade for eating and drinking.
