Staff was very accomodating. Since there is no elevator, and I was staying for just one night traveling with a heavy suitcase following a business trip, I was offered a room on a lower floor and the staff carried my bag to the room. The room was clean, staff friendly, and it was close to everything. Very quiet, great water pressure in the shower, and the whole place smells lovely (of lavender). A very nice experience.

Pretty much everything though we did not eat at the hotel apart from a coffee and croissant in the morning so i would have to limit our comments in that regard - i think the location is probably what made the strongest impression with its panoramic view of the beach and promenade. -

comfortable bed and pillows. The location on the main pedestrian
shopping street, Rue Gambetta, is perfect once you arrive. The street
can be packed with people, but it closed down at 8 P.M. when we were
there in April, offering complete quiet for the evening. We thought the
beautifully-presented breakfast was well worth the money. St. Jean-de-
Luz is a great base for seeing the Basque country, and Les Almadies is a
wonderful
