It's amazing how the staff cares about you. The men that was on duty
when I checked-in gave me much more information about what to do than
the "office de Tourisme" (which main role should be this). I
got there before check in time but could take the room straight away.

Robert at the reception desk is extremely helpful. He gave suggestions
for dinner, which was wonderful. He also gave us a simple photocopied
map of Metz and drew a walking trail highlighting must see spots. He
also directed us to the correct bus to visit our son at his study abroad
campus. This was very important as we speak no French and there were few
in the town that could converse in English. The room was large and
comfortable. The hotel is very convenient to the train station. Free

This is a truly eccentric hotel. The owner is an artist, sculptor and all round interesting character. Many of the features in the hotel have been made by the owner. The owners could not have been nicer. Very accommodating and extremely helpful. I needed to have a walk in shower so in no time they had changed my room to accommodate my request The food was exceptionally good, we had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. It is a very quiet and tranquil setting. Each of the 11 rooms are different, maybe a little quirky but very comfortable and great value for money
