Nive the entire journey - Itzalpea is in a central location in the beautiful town of St Jean Pied de Port. It's a lovely cosy little B & B, in a cute old building with lovely old antique furniture, pretty furnishings and vases with fresh flowers. Breakfast is wonderful - for eg, natural yogurt in a glass pot, fresh fruit salad, fresh croissants, ham, great coffee - all presented very tastefully. Bedroom & bathroom clean and comfortable.

  We liked EVERYTHING about Hotel Ramuntcho! The hosts were wonderful and prepared. The location was excellent. And the rooms were spotless (I loved the olive oil based soap and hair/body wash too)! - Great position for starting the Camino Frances.   A perfect getaway. You could imagine a famous author sitting in one of these cottages and being inspired to write his next novel. We stayed here overnight on our way through france, but I could imagine staying here for a week or more. It's absolutely beautiful. I loved staying here and would definitely recommend it. - Lovely family-run hotel, away from the bustle of nearby (3km)St Jean-Pied-de-Port which is full of shops and of course pilgrim travellers en route to Compostella. It was very peaceful and sitting in the garden for our evening meals which were excellent, with the sound of the nearby river and birdsong was simply lovely. A lovely small village location.
