It is a beautiful house which has been carefully and tastefully restored. The owner (Bernard) was extremely friendly and helpful and recommended several good restaurants for us as well as giving us directions. The breakfast was very good and our apartment was superb with French windows leading onto the well maintained garden. Rooms were spacious and very clean.   Single room was small but comfortable, with shower and basin. Toilet was just down the hall. A small lift meant you didn't have to negotiate the stairs with bags. Close to the train station, it allowed me easy access for a late night arrival. About only a 15 minute walk to the historic Carcassonne walled city. Owners did not speak much English but... co mówią ludzie » were friendly and very helpful. Close to shops and eateries. Cheap Wi-Fi access. Enjoyed my stay there. - This was a very typically French hotel which due to location, welcome and comfort was a joy to stay in. From arrival to departure the Proprietor was a joy and his attempts at encouraging guests to practice their French as he practiced his English was just brilliant. We travel regularly between France and Scotland,don't know when we are due next to travel from Carcassonne to Glasgow but would definitely stay here again. Merci Monsieur Proprietor

  The boat was in a really lovely location, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The host could not of been more helpful. If found us a fabulous restaurant along the canal. Loved every minute of it. - Unusual staying on a canal boat,which was very well presented in an idilic setting.

  The staff at aragon were really friendly so even though we were unlucky with the weather they lent us umbrellas. The location is excellent a 2 minute walk to the medieval castle entrance. The hotel was very well kept with a lovely clean pool area and hotel rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. I cannot fault aragon. - The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. The bedroom on the first floor looked out on the Old City & the view was stupendous day or night. The swimming pool was faultless and a sun-trap for those who want it with some shaded areas. The hotel was very close to the Old City and a five minute walk away. The city of Carcassonne was a twenty minute walk into town and the car was not required after arrival.

  The hotel was very well situated for a comfortable 15 min walk to the Old City. For those who cannot walk to far, there is the local tourist train that leaves from the doorstep and takes you directly to the Old City. We paid a lot less staying here than staying in the Old City itself. - The hotel was a typical French hotel. We opted for this hotel as we wanted something that wasn't like every other hotel chain. Quirky and very different from your chain hotels. Our room was quite big for a French hotel and the decor was as we expected. We stayed in room 23. The breakfast was French as you would expect and all the staff were polite and friendly.

  Le Passage was excellent! I was somewhat nervous staying in carcassonne after reading online you should stay 1 night maximum but we ended up extending our stay! Very easy walk to old cite and easy drive from motorway for daytrips around area. Cathy is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are gorgeously set up. Madame Flo and Jean-Michel were very helpful and friendly. Patient with my attempt at the French language, but conversed well with my partner who's French is far better than mine.   This is exactly what we needed for our stay - close to things we needed in town, including the train station a few blocks away but also a really stunning walk to the castle. The room was generous and enabled us to feel very much like we had an apartment of our own. The owner also has a garage where we could securely store our bikes. - We got the Indian-style room, which was most beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. Later, when we realized that the photos in the room are actually the family's and understood the meaning of the place's name - we were really moved. The owners were very hospital and friendly and we felt lucky for choosing this place. We would definitely stay here again any time.
