Despite the weird name, Slunj is a beautiful place, with very pretty waterfalls at the bottom end of the town, set against the backdrop of quaint old stone buildings and a large curved bridge.

Great place to stay. Second time to stay at Rooms Jana and if I'm ever in Croatia again I would stay at family run spotlessly clean apartment. As previous guests reported, Marijana was great! She served us fresh squeezed cherry juice from her orchard. Cherries happen to be a favorite of ours.
The accommodations were beyond spotless both inside and out. She had a great recommendation for a place to eat dinner. Coffee and groceries were just out the driveway.

Marko, Gordana, Marija, Ivan and the littlel Mate made our stay wonderful. They are cozy i close. We were greeted with homemade cakes and delicious liquor. They made us feel at home whit old friends. They left a great memory. The installations perfect one bedroom, bathroom i private lounge, very clean. Outside are a perfect table picnic breakfast.Highly recommended!!!. Marija the owner was very helpful and provided us with information for the plitvice lakes. Her directions for locating the house were also good. The location was excellent for visiting this national park. Our room had everything we needed and was very clean. We opted for the breakfast at extra cost and it was good value for money. Would recommend accommodation.

This is a nice, clean, modern apartment. The bed was comfortable and the WiFi worked great. The pots & pans were in very good condition. There's a big flat screen TV which we didn't use. The owner is nice but speaks German, not English. There's a small balcony overlooking the street. The apartment has a great location not far from Plitvice

Easy to drive to Plutvice and lovely to be able to cook in for a change.

Great value for money and the owner was very welcoming and friendly. Lovely and clean room. The guesthouse is in a very good location. There is a shop just opposite, a nice restaurant up the road and entrance 1, plitvice lakes national park, is only a 7-10 minutes drive away.

We were more than happy to have chosen Marijana's hospitality. We
came late in the evening and were met by a cozy environment of croatian
family, a bottle of home-made plum vodka. We had a good rest in a quiet

The hosts were most welcoming, and couldn't do enough to make our stay as good as possible. Homemade schnapps on arrival, super clean rooms, quiet location. Slunj on first impressions may not be the most inviting, but a 10 minute walk to rastoke and its waterfalls is so impressive. The accommodation and hosts were faultless, and whilst couldn't speak English, made every effort and even called their son to assist, who was more fluent. Excellent

We are very greatful to the owner of Ruhige Lage, because we arrived to Ruhige Lage 2:00 AM (we had problems with our cars), he was very friendly and didn't ask about any additional payment. All of the days, we were there, he was very helpfull. Apartment is very beatiful, nice, full kitchen equipment, with the nice view to the country side and large terrace.

Lovely spacious studio apartment for two adults and two children, it could sleep five. Great location about 12 km from Lakes so need a car. We were given a great map drawn by Kristina with restaurant and market locations. The apartment building is clean and tidy. Lovely outdoor area with activities for the children. A peaceful and relaxing place to stay which we would recommend to others.
