  This gem of a hotel deserves to be booked solid for the season. Katerina, the owner, has designed a delightful, elegant, luxury boutique hotel with a mere nine rooms, and current prices are a snip! This hotel has our highest possible recommendation. - To put it in one word: amazing. Very attentive and kind staff - helpful but at the same time discreet. Rooms are large and luxurious with all the possible "smart" functions. Restaurant is excellent both for fish and meat (amazing beef carpaccio with fresh truffles). Small, cosy spa area with everything you might need for a couple - it costs extra but it is well worth of the small extra charge. Istria at its best. Highly recommended.

  I stayed in this small warm hotel second year in a row during the August Summer Jazz festival. Staff is very friendly, supportive, all of them speak more languages. Everything is great in this Hotel - La Grisa is gorgeous small boutique hotel, perfect for a stay while exploring Istria. Hotel’s location is more than convenient – close to the parking place and on the entrance of the old city of Bale. Rooms are decorated with a lot of style and bathrooms are spacious. Breakfast is rich and tasteful. During the evening U can enjoy nice glass of vine and eat lovely food on the hotel terrace.   quiet at night, very good food,friendly staff, - This hotel/b&b is extremely well presented with flowers on the big terrace where breakfast is taken, and carpet throughout, which gives it a very comfortable feel and, importantly, makes it very quiet in the evening. Our room had a balcony with a lovely sea view, which is probably worth the extra cost in such a beautiful area. The staff were very friendly. This is a very well- - The guest house was, in relation to other accommodation in Opatija, very good price/quality ratio. Everything was very clean and new. Very convenient to have parking facility. The location was a bit tricky to find and one should be aware it is not right in Opatija. We were looking for an overnight stop on our way south along the coast so it was the perfect stopover. Whilst Optaija is a glorious old Austro Hungarian style resort it is not, (in my opinion only ), a place for a longer stay.
