Papaya was a super comfortable and modern place to stay, I had such a great time in the hostel! Met some very fun people and had a great time with Ana, Ever en Ara from the staff! The helped me with loads even sitting down with me learning my Spanish (costeñal). Then Laura the lady that runs the hostel was amazing! She took the time to tell me about what to visit, even called around for me to find out all the options and the thing that I liked so much is that she was so caring. Ana, front desk clerk, went with me to find a lunch spot and made sure I know the price before she left.
Clean bed & room.
Hostel is right infront of the community square, so you have hear everything and walk right outside into a party.
Told me how to catch the metrocar to the bus station.
Felt safe ENJOYED IT!.
It's in a very lively yet quiet part of town. So much culture. 3 minute walk to the old town and lots of great shops and restraunts. The tv room is super beautiful. The air conditioning unit is life saving. And it's not flocked by tourist so you can get a great feel for cartagena. It's a very calm hostel.
Con: If you are the quiet type this hostel is not for you, the main square is literally right outside. Luck warm water not hot. Slept in a four-bed but had to use the other room bathrooms. Súper light breakfast but good!.
