  Lovely hotel - great location. Very clean and comfortable. Was offered an upgrade to a Club room upon check-in for approx. $75 per night.   Everything is good in this 4 star hotel but I give it 5 star, in my opinion nothing bad in this beautiful hotel - The Staff were very efficient and attended my needs. The room was spacious. The lifts were not slow.

  W stayed just one night in this gloriously comfortable hotel which was close to the airport for our onward flight. We ate vegetarian food in one of the private rooms in the Royal China restaurant and it was extraordinary and incredibly good value at £18 for several courses for both of us.   This is a great hotel to overnight between flights to and from Shanghai Pudong airport. I arranged - at short notice - for a (free) hotel pickup at the airport, and this worked perfectly; I also took the hotel bus - again gratis - back to the airport (c. 15 minutes) the next morning. Hint: when travelling by taxi have the phone number of your hotel for the driver, they dont speak english but will ring the hotel for directions.
