Staff at this accommodation is so helpful and kind. It is hard to find
at first. The taxi we took from the airport (170rmb which was scam) can
not find the place he had to call the hotel and drop us at one of the
entrance. There are two entrances. There is no reception area for you to
go to. We couldn't find it. I grab one of the westerner who liv

Great location. The studio apartment is in a new building, and the
building is a part of a closed structure of approx. 10 buildings such as
this one. It is surrounded by a fence and there is a guard at the
entrance (nice) (It's not like it is unsafe neighborhood). Inside
there is a tennis court, and plenty of grass. Although it is not located
in the city center, it's 10 minutes walk from mtr station
(dongimen), than it takes about 4 stops to the Tiananmen square. The
apartment is clean and big,

The location was very convenient as it was close to forbidden city,
tiananmen, jingshan park, and wangfujing! There is also a nice
convenience store downstairs and great alley cafe down the road. Family
room was spacious and had a pc. Its also inside a nice, quiet and
quaint compound.staff were helpful in getting us a taxi and attending
to our needs.

This hotel is a budget-friendly hotel, if you get it at the right time.
Checking-in and out takes time (don't know why, but this is one of
the longest processes and always busy line). It is 100 meters from the
airport express/metro station - so it's an easy stop. It hides
behind another hotel, so it can be difficult to find the first time.

Our family stayed here while vacationing with another family. Each family stayed in an apartment with the apartments in different buildings. The rooms were comfortable and convenient for people traveling with children. We had a fresh water dispenser, washer/dryer (with laundry soap), small kitchen with stove and fridge. Very comfortable and clean, traditional chinese gardens and furnishings. Perfectly situated in the hutongs ( what a welcome difference to the bland upmarket chain hotels in the centre) . The hotel was decorated in old style china, great if you want the feel of stepping back in time.The rooms were clean and tidy and the gardens and buildings are very picturesque. Staying here puts you in the centre of a real chinese community, all the people were friendly and if you are a westerner you will draw a few glances. By its very nature I was immersed in the Hutong and saw how those people live on a daily basis.
For one week I got to feel like a real Beijinger living in the Hutong (albeit a fancy Hutong) and see the culture in a way that is impossible for a tour group staying in a fancy hotel.
