Fabulous location for the price. Just cross Bernardo o'higgins, and walk 5 minutes and you are in the main square Plaza Des Armes, and all the places that are within 15 minute soif the square. It is an apartment vs a hotel, so slightly different atmosphere, but there is an office on the 10th floor I think, and it is open 24 hours, and the staff are very helpful. We got in to our rooms early and able to arrange for our luggage to stay late, if needed. We managed to get to the square and pick up .

Location just 2minutes from metro. Staff are very helpful . After several months in South America this hotel is the best value accommodation I experienced in any of the larger towns. We thought Serrano Central was great. The location was so central to the city, shopping, markets, tourist sites and transport with the Universidad de Chile metro at the corner. It was so clean, spacious, 24 hour desk, reception staff spoke good English and were very helpful (especially Barbara) and it was perfect for our 7 night stay in Santiago. Thank you. spacious appartment - had booked for a 2 pers appartment but got upgraded so i didn't have to move around during stay to a 4 persons appartment. Although no airconditionning, there were fans and it actually wasn't too hot in appartment during the day. 2 bathrooms and both reasonable sizes. Friendly staff. Good affordable secure clean accom. Close to central city shops and central fresh produce markets ,Hoyts cinema and cafe con piernes and supermarkets convenience stores and metro university of chile.Barbara is wonderful and helpful with bookings and travel advice. The location is excelent! The metro is on the corner of Serrano and O'Higgens, 1 block from the Hotel. We stayed at a 1 bedroon and it was clean, new and spacious. The kitchen was well equiped and there were small markets very close by. We loved staying there!. Felt secure and some staff could speak a little English. Arrived late and staff gave us their own bottled water. Easy arrangements for leaving luggage for a 19.00hrs departure. Appeared very flexible towards clients needs. The location of Serrano Centro to the downtown shopping area, the Plaza de Armas and the Metro is a huge plus. Barbara, at reception couldn't have been more helpful to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. We got sick and staff made an exception for us to stay after check out, before getting on to the bus. The apartment has everything, though it's a bit small it is excellent value for your money. Excellent location in Barrio Paris Londres, a few minutes walk to the city centre, parks, shops and metro. Kitchen facilities were good. Great to have more space than average hotel room. We loved the location in downtown Santiago. We loved the staff - very helpful, spoke excellent english. Couldnt receive calls in room, but the staff was great in helping us contact our friends at another hotel, so.... No big deal. At the moment try avoid rooms facing the street as a building is under construction opposite. We liked everything! Maybe it was a bit hot and I couldn't turn the heater down but nothing else. couldn't go back there on the sunday when returning to Santiago!! Only negative i can think of. No cleaning on Sundays. The internet was a bit slow and they keep the heater in a configuration that the second person almost has to have a cold shower. You have to ask them for more hot water. No ac but a fan was provided. What's not to like?. Carpet in the main bedroom looked a bit grubby. No breakfast supplied,not enough tea coffee and sugar supplied. would hav been nice if they served breakfast. bathroom on the small side, but no big deal. A little noise from outside window. Surrounding area a bit noisy. Internet did not work very well during our stay, one day it was off, but on again the following day. Depedning on the room, you might not get very good signal. The couch and chair in the living room of my room were not particularly comfortable. It was a bit noisy w/ construction nearby. - Nothing. Don't stay at the 10th floor. The reception is at that floor and the noise could be quite disturbing. Nothing. Room alocated was extremely hot day and night. Very difficult to sleep. Gound floor staff and entrance. Rooms and bathroom quite small. Carpets need a good cleaning. Luggage with wheels make a loud clunk-clunk noise on tiled floor hallways... annoying late at night, so get room away from their office. Front apartments very noisy. Insist on quiet one. Area prone to pickpockets and necklace snatchers. Our apartment was extremly dirty and disgusting. It looked like the floor and the carpet had not been cleaned for years. They renovated other rooms next to ours during our stay and it we had to face this noise all day long. We really do NOT recommend this place.
