Hotel very well located downtown. Nice view of the mountains. Room very clean and fancy. Big plasma Tv screen. Near, you have restaurants, grocery store, laundrymat (very practical) if you spend more than a week in Jasper. Via Rail and Greyhound station is 2 minutes walk. Tourism office is very near as well. Hotel has a resto-bistro as well. Room service from the resto. (food over priced though). Also a movie theater near. In the room, you have a sink but no toilet. Hotel has common toilet and.
wszystkie opinie » Although we had to use a shared toilet and tub/shower for the floor, I never ran into anyone else in there, so it actually wasn't a big deal. The room and washroom were both very clean. I was worried because there was no air conditioning (in August), but there was a big window that could be opened and a fan over the bed, and I slept very comfortably. The price was also very good for peak time in Jasper. Great central location with reasonable price. Extremely friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere. Very small cozy room, but super cute and clean. The shared washroom on our floor was also very clean. Lots of parking, and we had the perfect mountain view from our room window. Loved this place. The staff was the most helpful and friendly of people in the tourist industry I have ever met. I would definitely recommend Athabasca to anyone. They were very attentive and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were lovely. I couldn't have picked a better place to stay!. Great location-near train station. Room was nicely equipped. This was our 2nd stay and we chose a room with shared bath to save money. Room was much smaller but still nice. No issues with shared bathroom. Only inconvenience - some people let the door of the common bathroom bang during the night. No respect for those who have a room just in front of the washroom. When we got to our room, we were surprised to find out that there was only a sink in the room, no toilet or shower. I don't think that this was clearly advertised when we booked. It should be noted that some room do have these facilities, but some do not (there is a shared washroom with a toilet and tub/shower on each floor). The staff were fine. Not sure if people weren't flushing or if it needed a chlorine puck. I hate the size of bath towels in most places now . Why do they have such stupid small towels for people paying good $ for accommodation ? No tea/coffee etc in room/. nothing. just one! shared washroom.... haha. No lift, but only 2 levels max :). Rooms are very small, shared bathroom facilities clean and good once you figure out the plumbng, but only one per floor. No lift. Service in O'Shea's was slow. Temperature was hard to regulate in the room. Wifi was difficult as we picked up the wifi of the room next door and it went in and out and we couldn't put in our code as a result. Nothing. Expensive restaurant, but good food. The bar under can be quite noisy. a little dated in decor. No air conditioning. The air-con unit right outside the bedroom. It did go off at night so didn't ruin our sleep and the staff moved us for the second day. The swearing by patrons in the bar,hopefully it is not the norm. It was just before 10 pm on thursday night, there may have been a hockey game on. We didn't stay as we were looking for a light snack as we had just arrived, but the kitchen was closed, not an issue to us. Too hot in the room. Drunk people on main floor. Other people's hair on bed sheet. - Shared bathrooms - Very cramped room space - No hanging space - Nowhere to sit. No elevator, bath down the hall (worked out good but not very popular these days). Would have preferred the breakfast to be part of the package so it would have been one less thing to organise. Shared bathroom. No lifts, no coffee/te in room. Street noise most of the night. Sharing a bathroom. Climbing several flights of stairs. Smells like a tavern. Little pricey for what you get.
