rooms are lovely and clean and we had a good time relaxing or cooling
off at the pool. It was quite interesting seeing bananas grow as we just
know them from the supermarket. The breakfast is served in a pavilion
open to the garden, with brazilian food(cakes,fruits,juices etc)

The location is excellent, just right across the beach. The swimming pool is fantastic and the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet. The staff was always kind and nice, and always ready to solve any issues that might come up. We would definitely stay at Village Muta again, if we could.

Extremely friendly hostel right in the heart of the Pelourinho. The facilities are certainly a bit spartan, but the staff are overly friendly, speak many languages, and they assist you and advise you on all matters. Location was excellent, in the heart of Pelhourhino. Even though accommodation reflected the historic nature of the buildings and area (basic and old fashioned) it added to the feel of being in an historic, authentic location.
We had a room which adjoined a communal terrace with fantastic sea views and ideal for enjoying a late night drink.

Pousada Ouro Sobre Azul was a fantastic place to stay. The staff (owners) were the friedliest and most helpful people we met in our 3 week Brazil vacation; absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was brilliant, and was also the best we had on our vacation which included two 5 star hotels. The location is perfect for exploring Trancoso and is close to all the shops, restaurants and beach. I would highly recommend a vacation there and wish we could have stayed longer.
