  For me this was a unique experience. Loved the 'totally tropical' vibe. Room 6 was a wonderfully large, airy, comfortable space in which to relax and recharge after hectic days in downtown Rio.   Very clean and organized. Staff extremely helpful and kind! Front desk people spoke perfect English. Tours and directions readily available. Also a great location!! I would enthusiastically recommend this hostel!

  Our stay at the Ipanema Plaza was excellent. When we arrived tired (without luggage, lost by the airline) we were offered a room already at 0600 although we hadn't expected to check-in until 1400. Staff at reception was efficient and spoke good english, cleaning was very good and the breakfast was delicious. Our room on the Ipanema Floor was really lovely, nice modern furnishing and fantastic view of the beach. The hotel restaurant is really good and the breakfast was also excellent.
