This was our second stay at the Hotel Royal. We returned to it because we enjoyed our first stay so much. This is a little gem of a hotel that deserves more than the three stars it currently has; it is at least a three-plus if not a four star standard. Since our last stay they have made many improvements on what was already a very nice hotel.

From the moment we arrived the lady at reception was the most pleasant person you could wish to meet, even to the parking meter we were helped and offered for our luggage to be taken to the hotel. The booking in was quick and easy, within minutes we were in our room. The room was above what we expected, very clean, comfortable and just everything we wanted was available. The Aphrodite B& B was of 5 star standard with spacious rooms furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The host Heidi & Dirk were superb and most welcoming.
The breakfasts were wonderful and would keep us going for the day.
We would definitely stay there again.
Ideally located for Ieper and the battlefields of the First World War. Dirk is a first class guide to the area.

I am Belgian and I know this hotel. The transport firm I worked for had their 20th party there, so I have stayed here before. The attention to detail hasn't altered. It is truly a good hotel. -

Very nice hotel, helpful and charming personel, fitness room with not so many equipments as the sporty people would desire, but nice that it was there (we used it !), sauna and hammam!, room was very clean and gorgeous!-al in all I would give all 5 stars for this hotel.
