The hosts are extremely friendly but not intrusive, the room was cosy while still being spacious, with old timbers used in the design but not in the facilities, which were all modern.   Gorgeous house and garden with welcoming hosts in an idyllic town. Dan spoke English and had a welcome drink waiting for me from the famous local Trappist brewery (Rochefort). Rooms were classic, modern, and functional. Breakfast was good and plentiful with a sampling of some local specialties from the bakery along with eggs and ham. Enjoyed a friendly welcome chat with the owners while being warmed in front of an open fire, sipping a glass of red wine and, admiring the restored classic elegance of the decor. Fantastic restaurant just across the way served hearty food and wine and was an easy stroll back to our room to enjoy a moment of repose. Simply delightful.
