To arive after a 5hour drive and be told that you have been upgraded to a spa room was the BEST EVERY,It was my BIRTHDAY. I loved all of it, the room was a great size, the meals at the resturont wear delish and great value for money, the staff wear polite and very helpful. Having a long day out then coming back to the room and soak in the spa, then just wall out the door over to the restaurant for dinner was the best did not have to go anywhere it was just all there. The location was fantastic for exploring Melbourne - close to all the restaurants, cafes and shops. The hotel pool was beautiful and I really enjoyed swimming there during my stay. Buffet breakfast was included in my room rates and the choices were plentiful and a great way to start our day.Overall, I was happy with my stay.

Pool and spa facilities were fantastic and easily accessible from my hotel room.
Plenty of parking for guests right outside the room.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and extremely quiet.

The whole experience was very relaxing and friendly. We had everything we needed at the resort. We enjoyed the pool/spa and it was great having the bistro for food. The room was very clean and comfortable and well appointed. We didnt need to ask for anything.

Amazing staff, especially concierge who always greeted us warmly and helped us with our twins. Very accommodating and sympathetic to our needs for our 6 month old babies. Well furnished rooms/suites for amazing value. Best location - just around the corner from flinders lane where lots of good restaurants / cafes located. One of the best experiences I've had at a hotel - particularly for the price we paid!

This was our second stay at the Grand Hotel Melbourne and we were warmly greeted upon arrival. The staff are always very friendly and eager to help were possible. Very nice hotel, well sized apartment, great location that is near transport and just a short walt to city center.
When we came, we knew we'll need to leave day earlier. I did not expect any refunds, I just notified reception so that they know we'll be leaving day sooner. They consulted with a higher ranking employee and found a way not to charge us for that last day, although it was already too late for us to modify booking. We were pleasantly surprised.

After a long international flight the Mantra was amazing. We arrived late at night so only spent about 7 hours at the hotel. But we ha the best sleep. A perfect overnight before flying out in the morning. From the helpful reception to my room to the spa, my experience was wonderful. Having found a reasonable rate on Booking, I expected something fairly basic, and this pleasantly exceeded my expectations. The bed was comfortable, the surroundings upmarket, the spa and lap pool relaxing. Quiet too.
