the air con on every room (very usefull in Cairns as the heat is very humid), great staff, free airport shuttle, bed confortable, and very cheap ! -

Great location. Friendly staff. - I was upgraded and had a room to myself, it was a clean place, I only spent one night, it was quiet and the staff were helpful. I would stay there again. Located across from the lagoon and close to all amenities, easy to get to from the bus and shuttle to the airport was easy to arrange and cost $10. Good place!

We've stayed here for few times. Very friendly and nice personal, clean shared bathrooms, good facilities and the location is very-very handy. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, even less to do grocery shopping at Coles, which is across the road. -
I enjoyed meeting people from other countries everyone was friendly, and its a great place to go

We had a private room and it was REALLY private - not like in other hostels where you share a paper wall with neighbours. The hostel looks a little like a motel but it is clean and peacfull and on the main street. Staff is really well informed and they book tours for you. -

This hostel was fantastic, couldn't fault the place or the staff! Gutted I had to lead but be back very soon!! Very friendly staff and management, travelling on my own and made to feel very welcome and included! Facilities excellent, loved the make shift kitchen while it was being renovated!! No expenses spared at this place, all sheets etc were

Nice place to chill & hangout. Got hammocks neatly placed in the shade & a swimming pool in the sun. Free wifi in the common room & guests rooms.
Staff are nice, friendly & have a laugh with all their guests. They organise something entertaining for every night.

The hostel lays in the middle of the rainforest, this provides an amazing atmosphere. Due to numerous bus rides during the day to the city this remoteness is not a problem at all. Furthermore, the crew is really friendly and awesome!

Everything is close. The backpacker is more like a villa. Stayed in a double room, was very good and spacious. There's a calm bar inside. Left my bag there after check out without problem. -

The manager is very friendly. I booked weeks ahead not realizing i had to check in on good friday. When I arrived at 10pm, the manager still answered the phone and opened the door to let me check in. And he drove me to the airport for free at 7am the next morning!

Excellent and very helpful staff! There was something fun going on every night such as drinking games, reptile shows, cheap bbqs etc. The people and music is quite loud (which is fun, people are happy), but it gets quiet after midnight.
