This cottage was spacious, clean and so comfortable! We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage & it was a great base to go sightseeing or just to head to the beach or into Geraldton. The booklet with tourist information on what you could do in the area was fantastic & helped us to plan our trip & where to go for dinner etc.. Thoroughly recommend a breakaway to this cottage - it did us all the world of good!.
wszystkie opinie » The guest house was located close to Marine Terrace and a number of restaurants. Jackie enabled us to gain access to the room prior to the normal check in time as we had driven from Perth to attend a family funeral. The guest house was lovely with its polished floor boards and decor. Although there was no reception access to the room was simple. Great value for money!!. beautiful old cottage and very relaxed and quite. My room didn't have a bathroom but had our own bathroom down the hall. I stayed 3 nights and going back next week and will stay 1 night, it is also walking distance to shops and beach.I would recommend this cottage to anyone. Much more like a home away from home than a hotel. With cosy rooms, shared kitchen, outdoor areas and lots of sofas to relax in , it's a nice change when travelling by yourself for business or pleasure. I would call it a guesthouse, which Australia needs much more of. Walking distance to town, clean and big place. Friendly staff, communal kitchen and family area where you can meet other residents. All facilities were provided .I was even offered to be, picked up from the train station, I felt I was home away from home. Stayed in 2 bedroom cottage. Very pleasant for family - great facilities. Thanks for free upgrade to ensuite room in the main house for the extra adult. Love this house - will use it any time we are in Geraldton. Romantic well appointed rooms. Lounge room and outdoor areas both comfortable and opulent. Modern kitchen with all facilities and abilitiy to cook one;sown dinner if desired. Even a VERY good knife sharpener. Weelaway was a most relaxing and pleasant stay in a great location and a beautiful old house. comfortable, clean and very friendly. I have already recommended it to a couple of friends and I will be back. Bed and shower are great, room very spacious, kitchen well equipped with lots of amenities. The staff is not actually there, but when we needed, they got there in 2 minutes and were very friendly. Comfort. Cleanliness. Simple booking system. Small touches such as local books, good coffee etc. Proximity to town. Information on eating in Geraldton and other local info. Really comfortable room and relaxed atmosphere. Some great books to browse through in the lounge. Close to the town centre. Would definitely stay here again. Large colonial well furnished rooms; good kitchen facilities; easy parking; lots of books and information; pleasant relaxing lounge; good wifi. Slept like a lamb. Very comfortable accommodation. Very quiet street. Close to town so easy walk if you feel like leaving the car behind. I loved this accomodation. It was historic and beautifully situated and accommodated. It was central to the town and very welcoming. Everything about our stay was great. Would recommend staying here to anybody wanting to travel to Geraldton and beyond. The size and location were great, and the outdoor garden was perfect to keep cabin-fever kids happy running round!. My first impression was not great as its a house on a residential street. But after I made myself at home, my attitude changed and I could see myself stay there for longer. Lovely place, will stay there again!. The quiet , old world charm, the kitchen was well stocked.....old fashion, self contained room , peaceful night..... Close to city centre and easy access to areas around Geraldton. Lovely period house in quiet location. Clean Good location Spacious. The ambience of the house. Space Lounge area Location. Only one thing - the kitchen had everything you could need except for an oven. However it was a great excuse to go out for dinner in the evening!. Nothing. Our stay was overnight so we didn't use many of the facilities however, the communal part of the accommodation looked extremely comfortable and well equipped. I can't think of any.. Not really a dislike - but an extra fold away single bed would have been handy - perhaps there is one if we had asked. nothing. Advertised room as a suite but had no ensuite, offered upgrade which we took but not clear which room it was as no visible staff! 25c for soap if a bath wanted .... No complaints. The outdoor area was a bit untended...cobwebs on outdoor area, broken wicker chair, ashtray full of cigarette butts. The lack of security grill on the window to the smaller bedroom meant a risk and an attempt had been made to jimmy the window open and gain acess. Only fault window in room loose and rattled in the wind that came up on that night. Nothing I will stay here again. dark house. stuff was there shortly.some quesions were remaind. Can't think of anything. the provided food supplies were expired. please check the supplies regularly. No fresh milk in fridge, just the UHT stuff. no complaints. Toilet not separate from bathroom/shower area - quite necessary when designed for 2 couples to use. Some rooms without en-suite. Missing pillowcases Broken lamp in second bedroom Middle of couch is very hard (the frame, I think) and hurts when sat on No shower screen/curtain Not furnished to the same standard as the single rooms even though it's more expensive. Only one straight back chair in room. Owners have become complaince as the room needs maintance. The old bookcase and musty books take up space that could be used for another chair. Lack of staff. No ensuite bathroom in my room. Our arrangements were changed at the last minute, they said they were upgrading us, but the services were very poor.
