This is a lovely old (19th century) hotel with high ceilings and attractive features not found in modern buildings. We loved our 'room' - which was in fact a suite, with a separate kitchen-diner. It's extremely well-located, being on the very edge of the Geelong CBD (and hence close to restaurants), and a short walk to the Bay and beach. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. And we were very pleased with the price - top value!. wszystkie opinie »
A nicely appointed B&B with a welcoming host. Unfortunately we didn't stay long here, just an overnight trip, but it seemed like a nice place. Good location and, even though the bathroom was shared, it was very clean and very large.
A very nice old house with a happy and friendly host. It's location is almost as good as it gets. We walked most to places that we wanted to go to
The room rate was very good.
Overall, I was happy with this accommodation.
Loved the decor and feel of the place. Good common lounge area full with DVDs for your choosing. Family room had a personal TV and DVD player as well. A provided shower towel was a nice touch.
Location was excellent, within walking distance of Geelong city, waterfront and football stadium. Available parking on-site. Help yourself breakfast. Warm and friendly.
Friendly accomodating host, homely atmosphere, lovely outlook from breakfast room, comfortable lounge room, warm bedrooms, parking, price, location, location, location.
Lovely old house with lots of character - not sterile and soul-less like many motels can be. Very genial helpful host. Excellent location close to hospital, CBD etc.
Liked the old style rooms and breakfast area, and the fact it was right in centre of Geelong and you couldn't hear the traffic noise.
Very close to all attractions and public transport, the place is gorgeous with nice and friendly staff, breakfast provided.
Nice spacious heritage building, very comfortable and great host. Very central to shops and sea front.
centrally located.styled with old world charm.plenty variety choices at breakfast.well done.
Great lounge room -
Excellent way of visitors meeting others and building friendships.
Lovely ambience, very clean, friendly, close to shops, restaurants and footy!.
The friendly atmosphere, position with close proximatey to city centre.
the old world charm of the accommodation, provision of services.
Loved the position- walking distance to city and waterfront.
Nice room - in fact a suite
Friendly helpful management.
A quaint B&B that gave the feeling of old Europe.
Great location and tastefully restored.
Charming property, in a great position.
location
and the old building it self.
Really nice and homely.. great spot.
Very relaxing.
Architecture.
Location.
The house was a beautiful 19th century house with many features.
A price one pays for such a central location is that there's a certain amount of traffic (esp. truck) noise; it's not a big deal, but light sleepers might want to bring earplugs.
Nothing really. Just keep in mind that it is a shared bathroom as this wasn't particularly clear when we booked.
having to walk down the hall to get to the bathroom
cereal and toast for brekky - not very substantial
too much light getting in the window at night. this has been mentioned many times in reviews yet there have been no improvements.
I got a room beside the road and street light seeped threw the side of the blinds and disturbed my sleep. No WiFi connection details documented in the house (had an after hours check-in).
Bed could have been larger and a bit more comfortable. Geelong traffic - "hoons" doing circuits throughout the night!.
Nothing!.
Not having a handbasin in the room with running water. But not a big deal once we got used to walking down the hall to the bathroom. Also a separate toilet would have been an advantage. Toilet and shower in the same room.
one night only booked.
Room was a bit noisy.
Nothing really.
Bed to soft, sharing the bathroom with the other guests.
car park is a bit tight, but co-operative nature of all concerned meant it was never an issue.
Breakfast a bit basic and drab. Wholegrain bread and brewed coffee would lift it considerably.
Single bed.
Need ensuit bathrooms but this would involve major rebuild or additions.
Basic breakfast, perhaps add the choices of croissants, perculated coffee ?.
Dark inside.
Fan in bathroom went on with light so in Winter you would freeze.
Some rooms didn't have ensuite.
Old and tired inside.
Sharing bathroom facilities.
