  Coming from a Hotel Management background, I know what it means to make people feel at home- I felt that everything was easy and effortless- by this I mean that everything was seamless, and the staff all gave the genuine impression that it was truly a pleasure to work there and look after the guests. I also wish to make specific mention to the food- I had the pleasure of enjoying the chef's specials last Sunday - Our apartment with full kitchen, laundry and enormous bath was perfect for our family. It immediately felt homely with the bonus of comforts and amenities of a top class resort. The rainforest boardwalk was a joy to explore and the hotel was a convenient 5 minute drive to the town centre, or a 10 minute stroll to Tallow Beach. Complementary morning yoga on the verandah was also a lovely way to start the day. The staff were a stand-out; consistently pleasant and helpful throughout our stay.

  Abby who works there spoilt us. She went above & beyond for us, even picking us up with our luggage from the other side of town before check in & taking us to the shops so we didn't have to walk! It was a lovely place. I wouldn't go there without my partner as its more for couples but it was lovely, comfortable & inviting.   The privacy was great. Location to Wategoes was great. Rae's at Wategoes was great. Access to Byron township without being in Byron was great. All over a great stay for a couple. - ambiance, understated elegance, should have more self catering facilities - eg use of the coffee machine and access to the fridge for milk after hours
