Very friendly staff, especially Peter is very friendly and helped me a lot with booking my trips. Cheap bar on the terrace, pool, lawn, hammocks, pool table and big screen with DVDs. Every evening there is a quiz which is really nice to meet new people. Very big, clean kitchen. Bathroom was alright. Laundry with wahsing machines, dryers and iron. Quiet Location, but nightlife is still in walking distance. Free courtesy bus to the bus station. Best hostel I stayed in so far in Australia!.
wszystkie opinie » This hostel was the best we have stayed in in Australia by far. All the staff are really genuinely friendly and engage with all the guests. It is small enough to know everyones face but big enough to allow you privacy to relax and read a book. It is just out of town( about 3 mins walk) which was perfect for us. Really chilled out and nice bar. Pretty much everything. Hostel was charming, clean with sea views to boot! Staff were excellent, location close enough to town to be easily accessible but far enough away that u could actually sleep if u wanted to :) Great hostel for meeting people. I loved it and would definitely recommend it. Friendliest staff, great location (quite short walk to main street, enough to stop the noise), comfortable clean room, awesome price, great vibe and atmosphere (activities etc.), good facilities. One of the best places we stayed during out Aus trip. Extremely nice and helpful staff, although facilities are a little bit aged, everything is clean and well looked after. Owner Peter is very nice. You get picked up from the bus stop, although it would be an easy walk. Would recommwnd this place. Reception closes at 7.30pm (but there is a procedure for late check ins) Bunk beds had no ladder, so it was quite hard to get in bed. Nothing ... but if you wanted party atmosphere 24/7 this is not the place but the clubs are just a short walk so you can get the best of both worlds. Having to pay for wi-fi. Even if u had 1 hour free a day it would be better. Says remote and quiet. It IS remote (short walk to town) and far away from the party zone, but we had loud nights as people staying there party on the terrace once in a while until late. Matress was quite bad. Little dodgy rooms. Staff could not help me in regards on how to get to my next destination. Far from the Main Street, quite expensive ( even tho been a staff member on the island I got a discount but only on my first stay when Peter the manager was not there). There's a phone to receive calls on but nobody knew the number. Bit far from center. Lockers in the room not available. Not enough showers and bathroom facilities for the number of guests, so when you came back from day trips covered in salt and sand, you usually had to wait for a shower!. Pool was dirty. No aircon during the day. General rubbish lying around. My room smelled horrible both nights I was there. I am used to staying in hostels all over australia but the smell of the room here was so bad I couldn't fall asleep at night. My two roommates were two girls who had been living there for over a month and had taken over all the floor space and storage area in the room.
