We loved this hotel!! Highlights for us were the valuable local knowledge the staff provided (especially Victoria), the bed and size of the room, the rooftop pool (this seems to be a rare treat at BA hotels), and lastly the best meal we had the entire trip was at the HG restaurant underneath the hotel. We only have great things to say of this hotel and would definitely return if we are ever again in BA. We also found the fierro blog Insidebuenosaires.com full of the best advise for things to do

It was a very calm peaceful setting in a busy city. We used the Ilum as our base and travelled to other destinations returning to the Ilum each time. The room and bathroom were both large. The room had french doors opening
to a view over the city and the Scala outdoor patio below. The room had
a table and two chairs. There are many restaurants very close to the
hotel so you don't have to travel far (especially when dinner
isn't until 9 pm or later). The subway is only a block away. The
staff was very friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend
this hotel and stay here again.

Art Suites is brilliantly located in the heart of La Recoleta. The suite we were in, 5A (best to be in an A suite as opposed to a B suite as high as possible in the building - there are two suites per floor) was spacious, clean, comfortable, totally functional, and well serviced daily. It provided everything we needed for a five day stay in BA and, at US$875 for 5 nights, including 21% VAT, is very good value. The front desk reception is staffed 24/7 by very polite and knowledgeable staff.

I loved the staff so much. They went above and beyond what staff do,
even at upscale boutique hotels. They were personable and attentive, and

Staff were outstanding - very friendly and went out of their way to help and make me feel comfortable. Excellent location, just a short walk to the many shops, restaurants, cafes and clubs of Palermo Soho and Palermo Hollywood. Room is nice and clean. 10 -15 mins walk to Jumbo supermarket which is very useful for grocery shopping. It is near Gorge new berry airport 5-10 mins by taxi. The area is nice and safe as it is a residential area with lots of apartments. -
